RPG Maker Plugin FAQ

A few common questions about LTN Games plugins.

It depends on the plugin. FeniXEngine plugins released under the MIT License can be used in commercial projects. Free Tier versions of premium plugins cannot. Paid Pro plugins can be used commercially after purchase. Check the product page and Terms of Use before shipping.

I try to make them as compatible as possible, but conflicts can happen. Check the plugin's product page for known compatibility notes, and report the problem if you find one that isn't listed.

Check the individual product page. It will tell you whether that plugin supports RPG Maker MV, MZ, or both. Don't assume that every plugin supports both engines.

Not usually. Most plugins can be configured with parameters and plugin commands. Advanced features may need a script call or a small amount of JavaScript.

Check the license first. MIT plugins can be modified and redistributed under the MIT License. Free Tier plugins cannot be modified or redistributed. Pro plugins can be modified for use in your own games, but the plugin files themselves cannot be redistributed. The full rules are in the Terms of Use.

Post it in the LTN Games Discord or the RPG Maker community on itch.io. Include the plugin name and version, your RPG Maker version, and clear steps to reproduce the problem.

Sure. Send it through the LTN Games Discord or the RPG Maker community on itch.io. I can't promise every suggestion will become a feature, but it may help shape a future update.

Updates are posted on the plugin's product page. What you receive depends on the plugin's license or purchase, so check that page when a new version is announced.

I support plugins as time allows. Premium plugin users can contact me by email or Discord. Free plugin users should use the community channels listed on the Support page. I can't promise a fix for every issue, but bug reports are useful and appreciated.

A beta is still being tested. It may contain new features or fixes, but the design can change and bugs are more likely. A plugin can also be sold while it is in beta.

Choose the release version when you want the more stable option. Choose beta when you're comfortable testing unfinished changes and reporting problems.

Alpha plugins are even earlier in development. They help fund ongoing work and give you access to new ideas sooner, but features may change and updates may be slower while the plugin takes shape.
